The bluefish action wasn’t the fast and furious we had the day before partly due to the heavy south winds we had Friday. They were there though! Few of our regulars got into them in the morning and better action was reported in the evening. SP’s and Poppers remain your best bet. On the local docks I talked to a couple anglers that told me they had some action in the morning hours on bunker chunks. These Blues we have in the area are very Large. Some pushing that 16-17 LB mark! Watch those rods if you plan on fishing bait. Off the surf we had one bass hit the scale from the IBSP Surf. Heard of a couple others caught in the surf but the conditions were tough most of the day. Conditions will improve as we head into Saturday and it looks like a very nice day on tap. Saturday weather…Partly Cloudy. High 65. Winds NNW 10-15 mph. We have plenty of Fresh Bait in stock! Make sure you pack your poppers and SP’s if you plan on fishing the bay. Here’s yesterdays weigh-in by Roger K. The fish was 34″ and weighed 12.60LBS. Caught on Grumpy Bunker in the IBSP Surf.
