11/7 Wednesday–Sandeels have arrived…

We got some real encouraging reports of sandeels in the area. It’s been a while since we’ve seen these little guys but if they move in in abundance things can get pretty fun out here. That big body of fish off long island has been actively feeding on large schools of sandeels so we’ll see what develops here. Right now we do have some fish out here. We got a surprising amount of reports of small bass on artificials and bait. A lot of these fish are right at your feet.. If the sandeel life continues to build into the area start fishing skinny metals (T-hex, Avas, Deadly Dicks), needlefish (Super Strikes), and sandeel plastics (Tsunami eels and Bill Hurleys). Don’t forget to use teaser rigs as well! Good weather the next couple days and the WEST wind is coming back. We’ll update our social media pages if we hear anything Wednesday… Open 430am-10pm EVERYDAY!

11/6 Tuesday

We had some bad weather Monday so we only sent a handful of anglers out but we did hear of a few bass first thing in the morning on bait. There’ fish around just need better conditions. We have plenty of Fresh Bunker. Should have Fresh Clams Wednesday.

11/5 Monday

Store regular Ben Allison weighed-in a nice 33″ 13.75 LB Bass he caught in IBSP on a plug (Pic in weigh-in section). We heard of a pick of Bass pretty much all day. Some guys got them on bait and some did well with plugs and metal. If you’re going to throw artificials try using a teaser rig. Few guys did well using them with metal. We got in over 300 LBS of Fresh Bunker Sunday. We’ll update our social media pages if we hear anything Monday..

11/4 Sunday

We had lots of rain first thing in the morning Saturday. Conditions improved as the day went on. Winds were cranking out of the WEST most of the day but it laid the ocean down. Ocean was a bit brown but the clean water line was getting closer to the beach before sun down.. We had a lot of guys fishing Saturday. We heard of small bass most of the day on Fresh Clams. Had a crew report back in the evening and they told us they had some action on white shads before sunset. The weather for Sunday looks fantastic. Winds WNW 10-15 mph dropping as the day goes on. Sunny with High’s in the mid 50’s. We have plenty of Fresh Clams in the shell and we have a cooler full of Fresh Bunker. If you want to throw artificials try Shads, SP’s, or small metal’s with a teaser. Speaking of metals we got in over 37 LBS of A.O.K T-hex metals! The best metals on the market.. Everything he makes is now in stock! Open 430am-10pm EVERYDAY! On the weekends Grump is there even earlier! If you see the lights on come on in..

11/3 Saturday

Not a ton of anglers out Friday due to the weather. Sent some anglers out and did get some reports of short bass on Heavy Shads and Bucktails. The conditions Friday weren’t as bad as we were expecting. Winds were more SW than S. Tomorrow looks like we’re going to have SW winds in the early morning and gradually switch harder WEST in the afternoon. Might have to deal with some rain the morning but will get nicer as the day goes on. There’s some bass around just need better conditions. We have plenty of Fresh Clams and Fresh Bunker. The Clams we’ve been recently getting have been much better in size compared to the past few years. Might be worth throwing some out there. Tis’ the season! Back bay has been pretty good with small bass. We had a few anglers report back with countless short bass on poppers and small swim shads.

Fridays orders– More Rod racks, Daiwa BG Spinning reels, VMC order, and Rosco Terminal Tackle.

Friday 11/2

Similar report to yesterday. Some guys caught. The south winds picked up as the day went on. Seemed like the guys that caught were using heavy shads like the Tsunami’s. The boats had a blast off Manasquan Thursday. Lots of Bunker and big fish up there and they’re heading south. Weather doesn’t look the greatest Friday but there’s some fish around. Winds look like they’re gonna go Westerly come later Saturday morning and into Sunday which is good. South wind tomorrow. We’ll update if we hear anything. We got in a load of Fresh Bunker and Fresh Clams in the Shell. Open 430am-10pm EVERYDAY!

Thursday 11/1

Happy November! Depending on who you talked to some guys caught good and some didn’t. We actually got some really good reports in the dark again. Nice night bite the past couple days. Everything has been on plugs or shads. If you want to try bait we got in more Fresh Clams and Screaming Fresh Bunker. Did hear of a few bass on bait as well. Back bay is really heating up again. Lots of small to keeper size bass back there on shads and small plugs. On the boats the bass fishing really picked up especially up north near Asbury. Big Bass in the bunker schools up there. The bass are migrating south! Lets hope they stick closer to the beach this fall.

Wednesdays orders– Yo-Zuri lures, Tica Rods including the HOT 9′ plugging rod (under $90!), Gear up bags and leader bags.

Open 430am-10pm EVERYDAY!

10/31 Wednesday– NICE Surf Bass!

Our good customer Tim Peters came in Tuesday night with a Beautiful 36″ 14.70 LB Bass that took a Scabelly Glider off the IBSP Surf (Pic is in weigh-in section). . We also heard of schoolies up and down the local beaches and a few other keepers that were released. Plugs, shads, and bucktails were the lures of choice and we also heard of several bass on bait if you want to dead stick a rod. One of our night time regulars was fishing bait in the dark and had a couple nice bass. We got in FRESH CLAMS Tuesday night..

The fishing has definitely gotten better since the storm. It isn’t great yet but I think we’re on the right track. Time to put your time in!

More orders came in Tuesday. Open 430am-10pm EVERYDAY!!

10/30 Tuesday– Better reports!

Probably the most reports we’ve have gotten so far this fall and there wasn’t a ton of anglers out. Everything we heard was Bass. Shorts to keeper size fish. Bucktails and shads like the kettle creek swing shads were working well. Had a few guys in the evening released 3 bass on bunker chunks. Not everyone caught but some did really well. Most of the reports came from the local beaches from Seaside to IBSP. Our good customer John John had 3 bass to 31″ locally off the surf. All released! Another good customer Sal T. went out and landed a nice 26″ Fat Bass on a shad. (All the pics are in the weigh-in section).

Safe to say things have picked up after the weekend nor’easter. Weather looks good for Tuesday.. We have plenty of Fresh Bunker. Expecting a Fresh Clam delivery Tuesday evening.

10/29 Monday

Conditions were tough in the morning hours Sunday but gradually improved as the day went on. We did get some reports of both Bass and Blues later in the morning on both Fresh Bunker and metal. Ocean temps are getting into prime range now. Before this blow there was a nice body of some bigger bass to the north of us. I expect to hear some things this week. Weather looks great for Monday..
