Friday 7/13

Some good fluke action reported in the morning hours and more small bass up and down. Guys targeting fluke are catching the small bass. They’re hitting small Bucktails and gulp. If you want to target them use small metal and teasers. There’s a good amount of sandeels in the area and that’s what these fish are feeding on. We also heard some things on King fish off the surf Thursday which is good news! Had a few guys catch them on gulp. Did hear of a few more sharks caught Thursday evening. Mostly smaller Sand Tigers. Lots of cownose rays up and down so watch your rods. Back bay is giving up some nice crabs just need to get out early before the crowds. Our good stretch weather looks to continue into the weekend. We’re open 430am-10pm EVERYDAY!

Wednesday 7/11

Good fluking along the beach Tuesday. We had 2 hit the scale and heard of other keepers caught and a bunch of shorts. There’s a lot of smaller sandeels close to the beach which explains why there’s so many fluke close. They’re also feeding on sand fleas. The Gulp 4″ and 5″ swimming mullets have been the most productive gulp this season so far. Make sure you use a Gulp teaser rig with your Bucktail. We have everything you need! Heard of some sharks Tuesday night and a bunch of big Rays. Like I said before getting the baits out far is key! We got loaded back up on Shark Rigs. Bob Bott from Backlash Sportfishing Custom Rigs dropped off a mess of his Circle Hook Shark Rigs which have been extremely popular. Bob makes one of the best surf shark rigs on the market. We have a ton! We also got loaded up on Fresh Bunker and Vac-Packed Jumbo Mackerel. Open 430am-10pm EVERYDAY. Longest Hours around!

Tuesday 7/10

We heard some good things Monday. We have some small bass in the area. Guys were catching them fluking in the morning hours and I even had a few anglers target them with success. Nothing bigger than 25″ but it’s fun! Fluking along the beach is still very good. Lots of shorts but a few very nice keepers in the mix. Be careful while fluking I had a few anglers hook up with the cow nose rays jigging! Sharking along the beach is still decent but getting the baits out far is key! We have everything you need. Open 430am-10pm EVERYDAY! Weather is looking good all week.

Saturday 7/7 Better Sharking!

Some good reports came from the surf Friday evening if you like Sharks! Big Sand Tigers and some smaller Brown Sharks were reported. Our good customer Scott caught and released about a 6′ Sand Tiger and lost a couple more. Getting the baits out far is key! Fresh Bunker and Mackerel have been the top baits to use but if you catch a bluefish give that a shot too. **Just want to send out a reminder to all our customers that are fishing for the sharks to please release the shark quickly as possible and to keep the shark in the water as best you can. Do not bring the sharks on to dry sand! These sharks are protected!** We finally got some reports of Bluefish Friday. Guys were catching them on Bunker Chunks on wire float rigs. They were in the 3 to 5 lb range with a few bigger ones mixed in. Good fluking was reported once again as well! We have plenty of Fresh Bunker, Jumbo Mackerel, Salted Clams, and All the Frozen bait you need! Open 430am-10pm EVERYDAY!

Friday 7/6

Another good day with the Fluke on the beach. We got reports throughout the day. Don’t forget if you’re fishing IBSP land you can keep 2 fluke at 16″ or bigger! Good way to take home dinner! Same report with the sharks. Few guys are getting them but it hasn’t blown up yet. That should be soon. We have plenty of Fresh Bunker and Jumbo Mackerel. Open 430am-10pm EVERYDAY!

Thursday 7/5

Pretty much the same report as yesterday but I did hear a few more things on the sharks at night. A few of my evening sharkers told me they had some nice size browns Tuesday night and one guy reported about a 5′ Sand tiger that he released. Getting the baits out far is key. Some decent fluke action along the beach too. Most of the fluke are with-in 15 feet from the beach. Bucktails and Gulp is the ticket. Work the jigs slow along the bottom. We’re open 430am-10pm EVERYDAY! Lots of orders arrived this week and more are coming next week. We have everything you need.

Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July! Thank a soldier for the freedom you are celebrating today!
On the fishing front it’s pretty much that same. Few nice fluke were reported. Heard a few things on sharks. Had a couple even reported during the daytime hours. Fresh Bunker or jumbo Mackerel is the way to go. We got a nice delivery of Fresh Bunker and Jumbo Mackerel Tuesday. If you need shark rigs we have everything you need. We also have some cow nose rays in the area. Didn’t hear anything on bass but if you want to try for them give clams a shot. Never know this time of the year! Some good crab reports are coming from the bay and the snappers blues are starting to show up. We’re open normal business hours on the 4th of July. 430am-10pm EVERYDAY! Enjoy the day everyone!

Tuesday 7/3

Summer fishing! Fluke during the day time and a few sharks and rays around in the evening hours. Few guys are still catching bass and blues off the surf but nothing consistent. Surf water temps are now over 70 degrees so the sharking and fluking will only get better. Crabbing in the bay is good! We have everything you need for crabbing from bait to traps to hand lines and nets. We got you covered! We’ll be open normal business hours even on 4th of July! 430am-10pm EVERYDAY!

Saturday 6/30

Weather was a lot nicer on the island compared to the mainland. We did hear some good things Friday. The fluking on the beach remains good. Some nice keepers are right at your feet. One of our customers caught a nice keeper size bass on Grumpy Clams Friday so there’s still some bass around. We have plenty of Fresh Clams and Fresh Bunker. Hearing more and more about sharks now. Especially in the evening hours. Fresh Bunker or Mackerel is the way to go! Make sure you have a shark rig. If you need them we have plenty. Beach summer time sharking has become huge the past few years. Last year didn’t disappoint so lets hope this year is just as good. Remember this is a catch and release fishery. Please release the sharks quickly and keep them in the water. Make sure you watch your rods! A lot of horror stories last year with losing rods. We got a huge shipment of inventory Friday. Tica Rods, Accurate Reels, Diawa BG Spinning reels, Rod Racks for the trucks including the porta rods racks for the bed of your truck, and more misc. stuff. We’re open normal business hours through out the holiday week. 430am-10pm EVERYDAY!!
