10/16 Tuesday

Good reports once again and we heard of more bass. One of our good customers reported a keeper size bass on a shad off the surf. Also heard of some shorts on metals. Lots of bait in the area especially Rainfish. The blues are still all over.

Here come the fall orders! We had a tractor trailer drop off two skids of Penn products. Some of the items included some of the NEW Penn Spinfisher VI reels, Slammers in every size, Penn Squadron Plugging rods (Under $60!), and tons of fill-in items. We also got in more STORMR Surf Tops, STORMR Gloves, and Guy Cotton winter gear. To make room for some of the new Penn Spinfisher VI we put the Spinfisher V’s on sale. 20% off the sticker price. We have all the sizes in stock. Open 430am-10pm EVERYDAY!

10/15 Monday

Good action again. Tons of small blues with a few Bonito and Albies in the mix. We also heard of a couple bass in the morning. The back bay is really starting to heat up. Heard of a bunch of bass back there over the weekend on plugs and shads. The run is definitely shaping up. There’s a lot of bait around right now which is good news.

10/14 Sunday– Small blues galore!

Great action again with the small blues. You could see the fish breaking in different areas chasing rainfish and mullet. Fresh Mullet on a fireball rig or mullet rig was working great but metal was also producing.. The mullet run is still going so we’re loaded up on FRESH Mullet. We also got in some beautiful Jumbo FRESH Bunker. Prettiest bunker of the season. We’re almost to that time of the year when you’ll start hearing of some big bass on bunker. Might be worth throwing a head or chunk out. The cooler weather has given everyone that itch for bass but remember the ocean temps are still pretty warm. The good news is the cooler weather looks to stay for the foreseeable future so that should bring those water temps down and start the migration. The weather looks absolutely BEAUTIFUL for Sunday. Open 430am-10pm EVERYDAY!

10/13 Saturday

Tough conditions in the morning and then the ocean gradually settled down. We heard of some small blues in the evening and we actually heard of a couple bass right before sun down on shads. Conditions look great for this weekend. NW winds and cool temps. Hopefully we hear some things… We had more FRESH mullet come in from our netter so the mullet run is still going! We also got in more LIVE Green Crabs and Salted Clams. Open 430am-10pm EVERYDAY!

10/12 Friday!

The weather kept most home Thursday so we didn’t hear much. Looks like some rain in the morning Friday and it looks to clear up midday. Winds are gonna go NW and cooler weather is expected! We have plenty of Fresh Mullet, Fresh Bunker, Salted Clams, and LIVE Green Crabs.

We got in a shipment of S&S John Skinner Tog Jigs in 4 different colors and 3 different sizes. These have been HOT on the jetty. We also got in some Gear-Up plug bags and sheaths.

BLOWOUT SALE! Need to make room for NEW STORMR Gear so we put the Strykr Jackets and Bibs on sale! We have sizes Small, Medium, and 3x Left in the jackets. $150 for the jackets!!! Normally $329.99. We also have 2x and 3x bibs. $140 for them! Normally $299.99. In store only.. Already sold most of them so if you want one stop in! Open 430am-10pm EVERYDAY!

10/11 Thursday

Same report as yesterday. Good bluefish action up and down the local beaches. Had a few guys call in and tell us there was bluefish chasing small bait right on the beach. Metal was all you needed. If you want to bait fish use mullet. The Blues are in the 1-3 lb range. Looks like we got some cooler weather and NW winds coming for the weekend.. Finally!

More Wednesday orders! Big Wader order in from Frogg Togg! Just in time for the Fall. Breathable Hellbenders ($179.99) in sizes 8-13 and PVC Rana II’s ($69.99) in sizes 7-13. We have a TON of them!! We also got a shipment of the NEW Otter Tail Salmon Flash Color. Pics are in the store update section. Expecting a BIG Penn delivery this week with all the new Reels. Open 430am-10pm EVERYDAY!!!!

10/10 Wednesday– Good life!

Some really good reports came in during the late afternoon hours. Small blues were chasing small bait in all different area. Birds were working right along the beach. If you were there you caught a lot of small blues! Few Albies and small bass were mixed in with them. Metal and epoxy jigs were working great and if you wanted to just dead stick a rod Mullet was the bait of choice for the blues. The mullet run has actually picked back up as our mullet netters are getting them good again. The mullet run this season has been pretty darn good. Explains why there so many small blues along the surf.

We had more orders arrive Tuesday. Otter Tails, Avet Reels, Rod Geek Blanks, and Penn Reels. More expected this week as we get ready for the Fall.

10/9 Tuesday

Ocean was very fishy Monday but not a ton of guys went out. Cocktail blues were reported in the morning. The mullet run is slowly fading but we’re still getting a trickle of it each day from our netters. More Grumpy Clothing arrived Monday! This time it’s the NEW Grumpy Screen Printed Hoodies and Zippered Hoodies! Check out the Store update section or our facebook page for photos.

10/8 Monday

Few small bass in the dark on plugs. Some blues on mullet and we did hear of a few Albies in the suds. Only a few caught but it was nice to hear about them.. Water temps are still pretty warm for this time of the year.. Looks like some cooler weather coming later next week. Thats what we need right now.

10/6 Saturday

We had tough conditions Friday with the NE wind. Heard of some cocktail blues first thing in the morning but not a ton of guys went out. Better weather for this weekend. We hope to see everyone!
