Thursday 8/9

More life in the area Wednesday. We heard of some cocktail size blues in the 1-3 lb range chasing small bait in the suds. Anglers throwing small metal were doing pretty well in the evening hours. We also have a ton of snappers along the beach. Fluking is still good. Remember you don’t have to cast far! A lot of these fluke are at your feet. Even got a few reports of small bass. Guys were catching them targeting fluke. Couple brown sharks and Rays caught in the dark. Nice day is on tap for Thursday!

Wednesday 8/8

More of the same! Some good fluking was reported Tuesday. We had some nice ones hit the scale from off the surf. Gulp/Bucktail combo on a gulp teaser rig is the way to go. We have everything you need! Don’t be afraid to ask us if you need help. Not many anglers targeting the sharks so I haven’t heard much in that department but the rays are all over. Grumpy and Bob are on their honey moon in Trinidad targeting Tarpon so it’s Happy’s tackle for about 8 days! Open 430am-10pm EVERYDAY!

Tuesday 8/7

Some really nice Fluke hit the scale from off the beach. Pics are in our weigh-in section. Shane Carney came in with the biggest Monday. A 25.5″ 6.35lb Fluke that took a S&S Bucktail Gulp Combo. We also had 4.25lb Fluke weighed-in during the morning hours from off the surf.. Heard of a bunch of shorts as well. The fluking is definitely the game in town. We have a few sharks around in the evening hours and the Rays are all over. In the bay the crabbing and snapper fishing are excellent. The weather looks good this week. Typical summertime weather!

Sunday 8/5

Some good fluking along the beach Saturday. Seems the guys using the bigger Gulps are catching bigger fish. Try the 5″ Swimming Mullets and the 6″ Grubs. You wont get as many fish but the size is better. We did get some reports of sharks on the beach Saturday night. Both Sand Tigers and Browns. Crabbing in the bay is very good and the snappers are all over. Looks like a beautiful day is ahead Sunday. We’re open 430am-10pm EVERYDAY!

Friday 8/3

We had a hard south wind Thursday so reports were slim. Did hear of some Fluke in the morning hours and I did hear of some cocktail size blues on mullet and bunker. Had few anglers tell me they had some shark action Wednesday night. Crabbing in the bay is still good and the size is getting better. We had some orders arrive Thursday from Penn. We got in some nice affordable (under $140) Penn Battalion Bait Rods in sizes 11′ and 12′. The 12′ comes in both spinning and casting. Perfect for sharking. Speaking of sharking, we got more of the Tsunami 12′ Shark rods. One of our top selling rods right now. Open 430am-10pm!

Thursday 8/2

The same report as yesterday. Nothing has really changed. Fluke, Sharks, Rays, and few Cocktail Blues. Crabbing in the bay is good and there’s snapper Blues all over. Open 430am-10pm EVERYDAY!

Happy August! More Sharks! 8/1

August is here and so are the sharks! We got some decent reports Monday night. Mostly sandbar sharks. Fresh Bunker or mackerel on a beach shark rig is the way to go. We have a few different shark rigs to choose from. We also got another delivery of Bunker Oil. We’ve had anglers marinate their baits in the oil and have very good success. Fluking along the beach is still good. Hearing of some small cocktail blues off the surf the past couple day. Small metal or mullet is your best bet if you want to target them. We also have a bunch of snappers in both the bay and surf. Open 430am-10pm EVERYDAY!

Tuesday 7/31

Summer is flying by! Last day of July and the fishing is pretty much the same. Fluking is good. Lots of shorts with a few keepers mixed in. Hearing of some sharks again along the beach which is good news. Guys fishing the night time hours are catching them again. Fresh Bunker or Mackerel is the bait. Getting the baits out far is key as everyone knows. Cow nose Rays are up and down the beach eating any bait you pretty much throw in. Did hear of some cocktail size blues in the morning hours on small metal and mullet. Weather all week looks very “summerish”. Sunny with chances of thunderstorms. Most never happen! We got in another delivery of Blue Ribbon Fluke Belly Strips. They comes in 3 different colors and have been a hit. I personally used these this past weekend and had great success with fluke up to 25″ on the boat. The action is killer on a Bucktail. Come check them out. We’re completely loaded with everything you need. Open 430am-10pm EVERYDAY!

Saturday 7/28

Report hasn’t change. Fluking remains good along the beach. Crabbing is good in the bay. Hearing of a few Blowfish in the bay and the snappers are all over. Weather is looking good all weekend. Light winds! Open 430am-10pm EVERYDAY!

Friday 7/27

More of the same where it comes to the Fluke. Good fishing! Even had a few anglers tell me they were getting double headers. Lots of shorts but there’s some nice keepers close to the beach. Crabbing in the bay was very good Thursday. Still haven’t heard anything on the sharks but the Rays returned Thursday. We have everything you need! Open 430am to 10pm EVERYDAY!
