10/24 Wednesday–More bass reported.

Bass were reported again especially in the dark. I talked to an angler as I was closing the shop and he told me he had 3 bass in the seaside park area. One was a keeper that was released. There’s definitely some bass in the suds just have to work for them. The blues are still around chasing small bait. Weather looks great for the next 3 days.

We got in more waders! This time it’s Proline breathable waders in sizes 8-14. If you need waders for the Fall we have you covered! From Breathable to PVC to Neoprene. We have it all! We also got in some St. Croix Rods. Orders arriving daily. Open 430am-10pm EVERYDAY.

10/23 Tuesday

Not a ton of anglers out Monday but we did hear of some Bass right before sun up. The blues and bonito were reported during the day. Heard of some Albies just out of casting distance in a few areas. Lots of bait still in the area. Weather looks great for the week. We got in a cooler full of beautiful Fresh Bunker right before closing.

More Orders arrived Monday. ODM dropped off a mess of rods including the top selling DNA Surf Rods. We also got a box of Accurate reels with the NEW Tern Star Drag’s. Need waders for the Fall? We just got more Frog Togg Rana II waders priced under $70! Open 430am-10pm Everyday!

10/21 Sunday–Fall Weather!

Lots of bait once again. Heard of a couple nice keeper bass to the north of us. We had a couple blues weighed-in up to 6.3lbs on poppers off the surf. Had one customer tell me he had a couple short bass on clams and a couple other hits he missed. Everything is pretty much the same. Is the fishing great? No not yet but the stage is set with all the bait. Even hearing of some peanut bunker now! The anglers putting in their time especially at dusk and dawn are catching a few fish. We also have some albies in the area but it requires a lot of chasing! Few guys got lucky. Ocean temps dropped again. 60.3 degrees in our local waters according to NOAA. Fall weather expected Sunday. Temps in the low 50’s and more WEST Winds!

10/20 Saturday– Good life again.

Crazy amounts of life again. The bait is just stacked in the area. Certain areas were holding some nicer blues. The sizes of the blues are ranging from snapper size to 5-6 LBS. We also had a decent amount of bass reported on artificials. No bass have hit the scale yet but we’ve had guys release keeper size fish this week. There was also some Albies and Bonito in the area.. We got our first Fall delivery of FRESH CLAMS Friday. We also have plenty of FRESH Mullet, Fresh Bunker, and LIVE Green Crabs. Weekend looks great weather-wise.

MORE ORDERS Arrived Friday. NEW Peach Blackfish Jigs, S&S Bucktails, Daiwa Products (Reels and SP’s), Boxes of Tsunami Products (Reels, Rods, Lures), and beautiful Calcutta Bamboo for gaffs. Open 430am-10pm EVERYDAY!

10/19 Friday!

Basically the same report as yesterday. Bait is everywhere and we heard of more bass caught especially on the northern beaches. There’s a ton of life in the area right now. Still tons of small blues and bonito. Even the whales were putting on a show in the morning eating bunker right along the beach. Water temps are dropping nicely and with all the bait that’s in the area I think we’re close to kicking this thing up a notch.

More West winds in store and the weekend looks great. We have plenty of bait and orders are arriving at a record pace. That’s because Grumpys away!

10/18 Thursday– Bunker are in the area.

Crazy amounts of bait again and now the adult bunker have made an appearance. All these west wind days are bringing the bait close to the beach. Bunker, Rainfish, and Mullet were seen up and down the local beaches and the cocktail blues and bonito were right on them. We also had a few guys do very well with the schoolies bass in the evening just north of us. We’re also getting reports of some Big Bass to the north of us in the bunker schools. Little to far out for the beach guys but the boat guys are picking them up. The migration is starting. The weather looks good all the way through the weekend. WNW winds for at least the next 5 days. Keep an eye on the water and make sure you have some bunker snags in your bag..

10/17 Wednesday

Same report! Nothing has really changed if anything there’s more bait in the area. Tons of small blues up and down and we’re consistently hearing of bass in the evening. Looks like we’re gonna have WNW winds all week which is great. Our mullet netter brought us more Fresh mullet right before closing so the mullet run is still going.

We had a big box of Stillwater Poppers arrive Tuesday. Both the regular and JR. in a bunch of good colors.

10/16 Tuesday

Good reports once again and we heard of more bass. One of our good customers reported a keeper size bass on a shad off the surf. Also heard of some shorts on metals. Lots of bait in the area especially Rainfish. The blues are still all over.

Here come the fall orders! We had a tractor trailer drop off two skids of Penn products. Some of the items included some of the NEW Penn Spinfisher VI reels, Slammers in every size, Penn Squadron Plugging rods (Under $60!), and tons of fill-in items. We also got in more STORMR Surf Tops, STORMR Gloves, and Guy Cotton winter gear. To make room for some of the new Penn Spinfisher VI we put the Spinfisher V’s on sale. 20% off the sticker price. We have all the sizes in stock. Open 430am-10pm EVERYDAY!

10/15 Monday

Good action again. Tons of small blues with a few Bonito and Albies in the mix. We also heard of a couple bass in the morning. The back bay is really starting to heat up. Heard of a bunch of bass back there over the weekend on plugs and shads. The run is definitely shaping up. There’s a lot of bait around right now which is good news.

10/14 Sunday– Small blues galore!

Great action again with the small blues. You could see the fish breaking in different areas chasing rainfish and mullet. Fresh Mullet on a fireball rig or mullet rig was working great but metal was also producing.. The mullet run is still going so we’re loaded up on FRESH Mullet. We also got in some beautiful Jumbo FRESH Bunker. Prettiest bunker of the season. We’re almost to that time of the year when you’ll start hearing of some big bass on bunker. Might be worth throwing a head or chunk out. The cooler weather has given everyone that itch for bass but remember the ocean temps are still pretty warm. The good news is the cooler weather looks to stay for the foreseeable future so that should bring those water temps down and start the migration. The weather looks absolutely BEAUTIFUL for Sunday. Open 430am-10pm EVERYDAY!
