10/18 Friday

We had a lot of wind Thursday but it was out of the West. Didn’t send a ton of anglers out in the AM but a few small bass were reported on artificials. In the evening we had a lot of new faces come in and report some decent size bass right before dark on skinny metals which is encouraging. There’s sandeels up north so lets hope. Water Temps are dropping and there’s fish around. Weather this weekend looks phenomenal. We have Fresh Surf Clams in the shell, Frozen Mullet, Live Green Crabs, and we’re working on getting a load of Fresh Bunker for Friday and the weekend. Open Early–Close Late! 430am-10pm Everyday!

10/16 Wednesday– First Bass weigh-in of the season!

We had our 1st weigh-in of the season and it was a good one. Tony Ciasca brought in a beautiful 47″ 26.75LB Bass from the IBSP Surf! The fish actually took a piece of mullet! We also heard of some shorts during the morning hours on assorted artificials. There’s a lot of bigger Bass to the north of us. Lets hope they come close for the surf guys in the coming weeks. Now’s the time to be ready! We’re on the cusp of the migratory run.. We have some weather coming in for Wednesday but after this system the weather looks good. We’ll be here normal business hours if you need anything. Here’s a pic of Tony’s Bass…..

10/15 Tuesday

Still very quiet. Didn’t hear much the past couple days. Seems last weeks NE winds kind of reset everything in the area and that may not be a bad thing. Hearing of some bass to the north of us. Think we’re close to starting the migratory run here. For the time being get ready for the fall run. We’re getting orders in daily. Shops loaded with everything you need. Open 430am-10pm Everyday!

10/13 Sunday

Like most of the week the conditions were tough the first half of the day. We started to get reports in the late afternoon hours when the ocean started to calm. We heard of some small bass and few bluefish. Everything reported on bait. Conditions look much better for Sunday. In the canal we heard of  a decent amount of Tog and there’s some decent bass in the back at night. We have plenty of Fresh Bunker, Frozen Mullet, Salted Clams, and Live Green Crabs.

10/12 Saturday–ODM Demo!

Our ODM Demo is Saturday! 10am-1pm. Come cast some of the best surf rods on the market! We also have some of the Northeast Rod Builders coming to the event including Billy Vivona!

With the tough conditions Friday we didn’t hear a word but Conditions should improve as we head into Saturday especially Saturday PM. We’ll update our social media pages if we hear anything. The Barrier Island Beach Brawl Tournament is this Saturday and Sunday. We hope the conditions improve for all the entries. Lots of anglers in it! We got in a mess of Fresh Bunker Friday PM and we have plenty of Frozen Local Mullet and Salted Clams. You know our hours… 430am-10pm EVERYDAY!

10/11 Friday

And the wind keeps blowing. By the looks of the forecast it’s supposed to go NW late tonight-early tomorrow. All we can do is hope that it does and continue haunting the Bay and River spots for now.
DON”T FORGET!!!!!! Our ODM rod casting demo is on for tomorrow from 10am till 1pm. Come out and test cast the ODM rod lineup and a sneak peak at the new models that ODM will have to offer.

We open early and close late EVERYDAY.

10/11 Friday— ODM Demo this Saturday!

Don’t forget this Saturday is ODM Rod Demo day at the shop from 10am-1pm. No need to sign-up just show up! Come cast some of the best Surf Rods on the market. Steve and the ODM crew will be there along with Bob our builder.

Nothing to report on Thursday. Conditions were tough. Looks to get a little better as we heard towards Saturday but we’ll see. The Mullet run is starting to slow down but we’re working on getting some for the weekend. The Beach Brawl tournament is this weekend. Good luck to everyone entering!

10/10 Thursday

Yesterdays wind kept most anglers off the surf. But, that didn’t stop them from fishing back bay or “other” spots. But, we were OPEN and busy with guys ordering custom rods and looking through and picking out that perfect item for the fall run. Winds seem to be variable more from the N and NW rather than dead NE. Hoping the water fared OK. We’ll know more when we get a few guys looking around this AM.

And remember, we OPEN EARLY and CLOSE LATE everyday.

10/9 Wednesday

No reports came in yesterday evening. Water is starting to getting dirty out front. That means one thing. BACK BAY still plenty of fish in the bay and river. Scale down your tackle and use a Kettle Creek swim shad or small plugs as these fish are hungry. If that’s not your game. Time to get tackle ready for the Sea Bass,Blackfish and beach. (As soon as this crap weather passes us.)

Sorry for the late report. Grumpy let me fish this A.M. 1st hand report. PERFECT Bass water, we caught small Bass on Bucktails. I saw no more than 10 trucks from the inlet to Gillikins.
